Silence - Second Version

Silence - A Library (Books, bookcases, floor)

I have chosen this place because there are library's everywhere and they are all similar by having lots of books, my podcast could be achieved in any library in the world.

Enter a library and find your self in the history section, where you are surrounded by books.

Podcast
Run your fingers along the spines of the books. Choose the book that in your eyes looks the oldest. Reach for the book and slowly pull it out of the dusty bookcase. Flick through the pages seeing the words delicately printed flash past you. Find a place in the library where you feel comfortable. (pause) Turn to the first page of the book. Read the first sentence aloud to yourself in a soft whisper feeling every sound leave your lips. Close the book, turn it over and read the blurb and see if it inspires you, if it does ask to take the book out of the library, to take it home to devour and explore in more detail. As you exit through the library doors, leave the silence behind you and enter the sound of every day life.

Silence

Make your way into a library, as you enter remember to be quiet, a library is a place for learning and silence. Run your fingers along the the shelves which hold our history. Try and find the oldest book in the library, what is it called? Open the book and flick through the pages seeing the words delicately printed flash by. Smell the old pages to calm you. Go sit down on a chair, sofa or bean bag and read the blurb and see if it inspires you. If it does not put it back and change it, find something else that can interest you. Listen to the silence and feel the energy from others around you or is it just you, you and the books alone together, so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Drop something on the floor and see if the librarian tries to shush you, what object did you drop? Read the first page of the book in your hand and pick out the words that you enjoy the most, say them out loud to yourself hearing every sound that makes up the word. Ask if you can take the book out. Take it home and read it, take it home and enjoy the language the author has used to create the text. what book did you choose?

Podcast - Transcript

This is the transcript of my podcast it might not be exactly word for word because I had to listen to it and type up the words I heard after recording it.

This is a podcast for when you enter a supermarket so please try and follow all the instructions I give you.

Why don't you go get a basket, I know a trolley is better and easier but we're only getting a one item today. Lets make our way inside and don't worry about the security guard he looks at everyone like that. Noisy isn't it you can probably already see a child having a tantrum and its cold as well, you might want to put on your jumper now before the goosebumps appear. I wonder what supermarket you are in now, Tesco's?, Sanisburys? or even Morrison's?, Lots of people only got to one shop don't they? because they feel like a traitor if they go to a different one. Any way lets just go get some ice cream, 'Ben and Jerry's' of course, I know £4.50 is expensive but trust me its worth it. Have you got it? Then lets get out of here so you can tuck in! I hope you chose chocolate fudge brownie otherwise I would be quite disappointed. mmm Ice Cream...
